Judy’s Mission Ovarian Cancer Foundation Completed a $100,000 Endowment in Honor Judy Robinson

Judy’s Mission Ovarian Cancer Foundation completed a $100,000 endowment at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Program in honor Judy Robinson.  The endowment was started in 2010 when Judy, a NASA scientist who maintained a healthy lifestyle, was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer and died 10 months later.  Before she passed away, Judy expressed a desire to make a difference.  She wanted to ensure what happened to her did not happen to any other woman.  The endowment is funded by donations made to honor Judy’s mission, and supports the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Program’s goals of developing a new understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer, new methods for detecting and screening, and targeted therapies for the individual patient.
